My boy graduated from primary school so I have tried to fit as many memories on this layout as I can. To give the layout stability by sticking the page down to the 'old school' paper. I used Mint Kaisercraft as a backing card.  I created the background with a circle stencil.I cut the accordian album out of craft

Gratitude Journal Simple Stories- Summer Farmhouse by Mel 'The Twilight Scrapper' for Scrap of your life .... I created this journal as a gift. As we all know times right now are tough often our very nearest and dearest are often in struggles that we are unaware of. Simple Stories Summer Farmhouse 6 x8 paper pad . The collection I used to create this project was Summer Farmhouse by simple stories. The title are Simple stories foam stickers  and I have painted them with teal acrylic paint. I used the 12 x 12 Simple Stories Summer farmhouse sticker Sheet . Paper 12 x 12 collection Simple Stories Summer Farmhouse . I started the cover with watercolour paper and Vicki Boutin water colour markers .The floral die cut was purchased from scrap of you life pre cut. Each page was designed around the idea of calming. How do we learn from what we have done not so well, how do we look forward to what lays ahead of us, how do we calm our minds and how do we show thanks for what we do have.

Quick Tags- Thrifty Scrapping

Some Watercolour Goodness Tags by Mel 'The twilight scrapper' I love to create lots of tags out of leftovers before I do a big clean out. If you have some left over water colour paper my suggestion is keep it and use it to make some really simple tags. I like to doodle with thin black pens that are alcohol based so they don't run. I draw leaves by googling colouring in pages and just try and make my own ideas and drawings from them. Vicki Boutin makes delicious watercolour markers !! The different colours blend eally well so dont be afraid to mix colours. I have used these with a water brush marker to help water down the colour as it is very intense. When its dry its time to fussy cut. The tag I used is also a scrap I have wiped through some left over watered down paint medium. I keep lots of tags like this around they tend to match with lots of what I design. I grabbed some 3-d foam and lifted the elements on the tag. I drew a border and a sentiment 'Summer vibes'

Checkout scrapofyourlife your life fb page for a walkthrough video.  This card folds into a triangle which is tied together with twine. I used Simple Stories ‘ Summer Farmhouse’ collection to complete this project. Summer farmhouse sticker sheet, Summer farmhouse paper pad , washie tape, burlap , Summer Farmhouse Thickers titles , Summer  farmhouse chipboard pieces , Kaisercraft card stock Anchor , Simple Stories Summer Farmhouse bits and pieces. Below are two sides of the tri-fold card. To make the title I used an old die but you could use anything really. The front of my card was a acrylic paint dripping like ice cream down the page. Pink diamonds and seed beads in yellow and  red.    Below I started with a 12x12 card stock and folded it into 9 equal parts.  I made sure the 3x3 inch squares could fit it’s own
