This page was inspired by a scrap retreat I went to last year. It was all about girls, pink and bling. Glitter texture paste, watercolour print paper. Mostly Cocoa Vanilla supplies.

'Beautiful Us' - Mel Parnell for Scrap of your life Jan 2021 Off the Page Project from Lemoncraft Lemoncraft A4 Paper pk Serenity Flair buttons Nuvo Shimmer Powder ( Fallen leaves) Vicki Boutin watercolour markers 49 and Market 'water bubbles' Polystyrene Round base Tim Holtz 'circle stencil tag' chipboard title 'Beautiful' When I decided to design this project it started around the colour's in these beautiful papers. They are soft and flowy and they are really feminine. I chose a black and white photo because I didn't want to add colour's to this palette. I used Vicki Boutin water colour aqua and green to draw some curves which I cut out and they were placed under the floral spray. I cut a paper plate size circle from the lemon craft paper then I inked the edge. I painted the polystyrene circle in a mixed of green and blue acrylic and sponged it. The front of the styrene is covered and stencilled with watered down teal acrylic paint an...
Some Watercolour Goodness Tags by Mel 'The twilight scrapper' I love to create lots of tags out of leftovers before I do a big clean out. If you have some left over water colour paper my suggestion is keep it and use it to make some really simple tags. I like to doodle with thin black pens that are alcohol based so they don't run. I draw leaves by googling colouring in pages and just try and make my own ideas and drawings from them. Vicki Boutin makes delicious watercolour markers !! The different colours blend eally well so dont be afraid to mix colours. I have used these with a water brush marker to help water down the colour as it is very intense. When its dry its time to fussy cut. The tag I used is also a scrap I have wiped through some left over watered down paint medium. I keep lots of tags like this around they tend to match with lots of what I design. I grabbed some 3-d foam and lifted the elements on the tag. I drew a border and a sentiment 'Summer vibes' ...
3 Quarter Design - Fairground Fun Junk Journal and Wallet DT Member 'Scrap of your Life' by Melanie Parnell 'The Twilight Scrapper' The idea came to me at dinner time because it seems to me I'm always thinking about the next meal to feed four children and a man child. Its our favourite stir-fry lime coconut curry. I saved the wallet and applied a thick gesso coat to both sides to hide the writing. Once dry I applied aqua/teal and purple acrylic paint and blended them with a sponge roller. This created a textured effect. I then used the cut out die negatives and stencilled black archival ink over top of the sponged surface. I started to cut some dies ( these are very old and have come out of my stash) out and create some tags for my junk journal just like I created the wallet cover. I cut as many pieces from 3Quarter Design _ Fairground Fun 12 x 12 paper cut apart paper I could like tickets, carousel, flowers, etc. On the inside of the wallet I glued paper pie...
